Everest View Trekking

As compared to other trekking routes in the Everest Region, Everest view trekking is relatively easy and short as well as very spectacular. This trek takes you to introduce mountain villages, Sherpa people and their culture along with great views of world’s highest mountains including Mt. Everest.

Everest view trekking starts with a half an hour mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After you land at Lukla airstrip you begin trek heading to Phakding where you spend the first overnight in the mountain.. Next day morning you walk following Dudha Koshi River and then gently climb forests of rhododendron and magnolia and arrive at Namche Bazaar, a bustling Bazaar (market), a junction for trekkers. Here, at Namche Bazaar you spend one more extra day for acclimatization and excursion. On the rest day you make excursion to Syangboche, one of the major spots for the view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Kangtega, Kwangde etc. Then, you keep walking to Khumjung village, a typical Sherpa village where you will explore Sherpa culture, tradition and lifestyle..

Lots of the world renowned climbers such as Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, Apa Sherpa and many other climbers belong to this ethnic community. In Khumjung you meet local people, experience their lifestyle. Visiting Khumjung Monastery makes your walking more significant. Next day you trek to Tengboche where a famous Sherpa Buddhist Monastery is located. In Tengboche you will meet Buddhist monks and see their daily rituals inside the Monastery. Tengboche is the final destination of Everest View Trekking. From here you return to Lukla via Namche Bazaar and take a flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu [1,364m

Upon our arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Adventure 14 peaks who will drop us off at our hotel. After checking in, we take a rest and fresh up in the evening trip meeting

Day 02: Kathmandu City Tour: Trip Preparation Day

Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (BouddhaNath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world back to hotel and preparation for trek Overnight hotel

Day 03: Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding [2,652m3 - 4 hrs trek

After breakfast, we will be escorted to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport for an early morning flight to Lukla (2,800m gateway destination from where our trek begins. After an adventurous 40 minute flight above the breathtaking green and white mountains, we reach the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. This is one of the most beautiful air routes in the world culminating in a dramatic landing on a hillside surrounded by high mountains peaks. Upon arrival at Lukla, we meet our other crew members and after some packing and arrangements, we start our trek through the prosperous village of Lukla until we reach Phakding. Day 04: Phakding - Namche Bazaar [3440 m 5 - 6 hrs trek

Walking through a beautiful pine forest, the track leads us along the Dudh Koshi River through many suspension bridges, one of which is the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. First, we catch wonderful prospect of the glistening Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). Through the settlement of Benkar, Chumoa, Monjo, we come to the check post and entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. We pass through the last village of Jorsale before reaching Namche Bazaar. The trail climbs through the forests and bridges until we reach the confluence of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. After a final steep ascent of about two hours we get first sight of Mt. Everest peering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. Upon this juncture, we stop at Chautara to admire the view. We still need to hike about 1.5 hours to reach Namche Bazaar, a gateway to Mt. Everest and main trading centre of this region. We stay overnight lodge

Day 05: Namche Bazzar: Acclimatization Day

This is the first of the two days set aside for "acclimatization". Health experts recommend us to stay active and moving during the rest day too instead of being idle. We either spend the day taking a day's hike to Thame or visiting Khunde or relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar itself. Namche Bazzar is the main centre of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. If we trek a few hundred vertical feet during the day, it will help us to properly acclimatize. Our guides take us to the Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarter of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of the Everest region. Over night lodge

 

Day 06: Namche Bazaar - Khumjung [3810 m 4 hrs trek

Today's journey starts with a climb up to the famous airstrip at Syangboche. Just above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel, a Japanese scheme to build a deluxe hotel with great views of the highest mountains on Earth. We trek up for about 2 hours and then level off until we reach the Khumjung village. The Khumjung valley surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kondge and Thamserku and the sacred peak Khumbila, hosts a well known monastery that houses a yeti scalp. Day 07: Khumjung - Tengboche [3,870m 4 - 5 hrs trek

We take a walk descent down to Dudhkoshi River passing through little villages on the way. The trails involve down with forest and across riverside for the lunch and we take a final ascent step up for 2 hours through pine and fir forest to reach a small hill Tyangboche. It has the famous Tengboche Gumba to explore for the day. The photogenic views from here are considered to be the world's most splendid one. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse (8501m), Kwangde (6187m), Tawachee (6542m), Ama Dablan, Kantega and Thamserku provide an inspiring views of Himalayan giants. Tengboche also boasts famous Tengboche Monastery. Over night at lodge. 

 

Day 08: Tengboche to Kyangjuma (3,570m 3-4 hrs

At down we spend a brief time at Tengboche, observe its many prayer wheels. We can not explore prayer altars inside as the monastery opens only at 3 pm.and in the morning 7 amp From Tengboche, a steep descent of about 1500ft/500m leads through rhododendron bushes and fir trees to the Dudh Koshi River. We cross the first bridge over Dudh Koshi on our return trip at Phunki Tenga. Further we pass the village of Tashinga and Sansa before finally reaching beautiful village of Kyangjuma. Here, we appreciate the gorgeous Ama-dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest!  Overnight lodge

Day 09: Kyangjuma to Monjo [2,840m 4 - 5 hrs

The trail to Namche Bazar clings to the steep wooded slope beyond Kyangjuma, winding through several bends. We lookout for wildlife such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colourful pheasants etc. while we pass through the forest by the trail. We have enough time in Namche to shop and relax in a bakery that serves coffee and cakes, and provides Internet access. A steep descent from Namche Hill leads to the suspension bridge crossing the Dudh Kosi river near the confluence of the Dhudh Koshi and the Bhote Koshi Rivers. We cross the Dudh Koshi River twice at separate locations before reaching Monjo. Upon this juncture, we are out of the Sagarmatha National Park after exiting from its official entrance near Monjo and finally reach Monjo Village. Monjo Overnight lodge

Day 10: Trek to Lukla: 4 - 5 hrs trek

Today, Although we are traveling the same route down, we feel completely different views. We snap a mixture of open plains, rhododendron and pine forests, and in the distance snow covered peaks. We take time and walk leisurely today as this is the last day of our trek. We experience the Sherpa villages' impressive faith in Buddhism and culture of prayer stones and prayers flag while we walk through the villages. Upon arrival in Lukla, we have plenty of time to relax, stretch those sore legs, and recall the experiences of the last couple of days.over night lodge

Day 11: Lukla - Kathmandu

Today, we fly back to Kathmandu after our long mountain journey. After reaching Kathmandu we have the rest of the day off to rest or do some souvenir shopping. To celebrate the successful

Day 12: Farewell Friend

The journey within the mountains of Nepal comes to an end today! At last approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight, a representative from Adventure 14 peaks drop us to the airport. On our way to home we will have plenty of time to plan our next adventure trip in the wonderful country of Nepal.

In case of delayed or cancel domestic flight client is responsible to bear all additional expenses including fooding and accommodation costs your personal expenses before or after trip. However Adventure 14 peaks will take responsibility all other arrangements as per the schedule and guide and other staffs extra expenses incase of delay or cancel the flight . If you wish to make an alternative arrangements such as Helicopter flight to avoid flight delays, all additional cost would be your(clients) responsibility , Adventure 14 peaks does not accept any responsibility for costs incurred as a result international flight missed but we assistance to make alternative arrangements wherever possible.we recommend always keep some extra time when you trek and climbing in Himalayas and make sure your intnernational flight ticket is flexible date ,also note that while on the Trip we may have to make sometime changes in the itinerary due to unforeseen reasons like landslide or natural disaster bad wheather or health condition
