Summary of Itinerary Outline Program:
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi Upon arrival in Delhi, meet and transfer to the hotel. Take a rest to recover from jet leg. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi sightseeing and drive to Agra (250km/5hrs) Start early morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi and enjoy-Red Fort, Jama Mosque, Chandani Chowk Market and Raj Ghat. In the afternoon New Delhi visiting Humayun’s Tomb, QutubMinar, Drive through Rajpath Avenue viewing India Gate, President’s House Late evening drive to Agra and check in hotel. Overnight in Agra
Day 03: Agra Sightseeing and drive to Delhi Visit Taj Mahal at sunrise and return to hotel for breakfast. Later proceed to view Red Fort and Jama Mosque and drive back to Delhi. Check in hotel. Overnight in Delhi
Day 04: Departure transfer Departure transfer to the Airport for flight to Paro Arrive Paro ,explore the town & drive to capital The descent into the valley of Paro is a perfect introduction to the breathtaking beauty of the Kingdom. On a clear day, impressive views of the earth’s highest mountain range give way to the green Paro Valley. When you step out of the plane, you’ll immediately notice the crisp, clean air. After clearing customs and getting your luggage, you will be greeted by your Bhutanese guide and a driver. Depending upon your arrival time and interest, you may have a chance to stop in Paro to walk along the town’s one main street or visit a nearby dzong (temple). You’ll then drive about 90 minutes to Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu, where you will check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner. Overnight Thimphu. HIGHLIGHT! Upon arrival, you’ll be struck by the peacefulness of Paro, located in a picturesque valley with quaint clusters of hamlets amid terraced paddy fields.
Day 05: Thimphu, world’s only capital without a traffic light, sight seeing In the morning, you’ll have time to visit the Buddha Point.(Kuensel Phodrang). Depending on your interests, you may also visit the National Memorial Chorten, the National Zoo (which is more like a preserve given that the only animal there is the national animal, the unique Takin), the handicraft emporium, the handmade paper factory. Dinner and overnight at hotel. HIGHLIGHT! Though Thimphu is considered a bustling city compared to the rest of Bhutan, it is the world’s only capital without a traffic light! It is also a great place to discover the nation’s thriving arts and crafts
Day 06: Excursion to Punakha over Dochula pass (11000 ft) Following breakfast, you will leave for Dochu la Pass (10,000 feet), ascending steeply through pine and cedar forests with hanging lichen. At the pass, you’ll have time to wander through and photograph the temple, 108 chortens and the thousands of prayer flags that hang from the trees. You’ll then drive onward to the Punakha Valley. After lunch, you may visit Punakha Dzong in the afternoon. HIGHLIGHT!. Punakha Dzong might very well be the most beautiful monastery in all of Bhutan. You’ll enjoy meandering around the grounds, through the numerous courtyards and listening to the monks chant if they are in residence.
Day 07: Taktsang Hike (The Tiger Nest) On this last full day in Bhutan, you’ll get an early start in order to hike the 2+ hours up to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest), the country’s most photographed and well-known monastery. You’ll have a chance to enjoy the views as well as go to the temples located here. You will then head back down, stopping at the tea shop/cafe, located midway, where you can enjoy exceptional views of Tiger’s Nest. You may have lunch either at the café or back down in Paro. In the afternoon, there will be some free time for you to enjoy the tranquillity of Paro before having dinner at your hotel and overnighting in Paro. HIGHLIGHT! Likely one of the reasons you are visiting Bhutan is to see firsthand the amazing Taktsang Monastery impossibly perched on the side of a mountain. The hike up looks intimidating but is doable for those in reasonably good shape.
Day 08: Depart from Paro- Kathmandu In the morning, you’ll back to the Paro airport and bid a sad goodbye to your guide and the Kingdom After arriving Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) explore around Kathmandu darbar square and thamel
Day 09: full day Kathmandu sight seeing Bhoudhanath stupa –mongkey temple –pashupatinath explore drive to nagarkot o/n at Nagarkot

Day 11: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa (3,650m/11,972ft) - Lhasa Arrival Transfer via: Welcome to Lhasa! Today upon your Lhasa arrival, you will be greeted by your Tibetan guide and escorted to hotel. Rest of the day you will have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude. Tips: As the altitude of Lhasa is up to 3,500meters, new commers usually have different level of high altitude sickness symptom, it is recommended to avoid strenuous activities or alcohol drinking for the first few days, drink more water, have enough rest, these measures will help you to overcome or prevent the sickness. Day 12 Lhasa (B, D) Elevation: 3500m Highlights: Today you will visit the famous Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street. Evening is a welcome dinner for the entire group---This dinner is only for group tour Potala Palace: Which is known as the cardinal landmark of Tibet and the residence of the Dalai Lama lineages. Stands 13 stories high and owes over 1,000 rooms, 10,000 shrines and 200,000 statues, the Potala Palace formed a small world in it. Jokhang Temple: Listed on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2000 as part of the Potala Palace,Jokhang Temple is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Pilgrims. The temple is a four-storey timber complex with a golden top, with the combination of Tang Dynasty, Tibetan and Nepal architectural styles. Every day, pilgrims come from every corner of Tibet worship here, make it a perfect site for photograpers. Barkhor Street: As the oldest street in Lhasa, Barkhor Street is considered as the center of the old city, and a perfect place to lear Tibetan culture, economy, religion, and arts. The street is full of handicarfts, such as ornaments, knives, tangka, religiou s musical instruments, gold and silver ware, masks and a lot more. If you intend to buy some souvenirs for friends or famiy, Barkhor Street will be an ideal place. Tips: 1) Today you will visit Potala Palace, please take your passport with you as it needs passport for entry 2) Some visitors might feel a bit hard to breath when climbing the Potala Palace, so please just take the climbing slowly. 3) Some places are not allowed to take photos, please kindly inquire your guide for details. 4) When shopping around Barkor Street, you can compare and bargain for the unique souvenirs 5) During the summer time, the musical fountain show at the Potala Plalace Square is 19:30—22:00PM. 6) Please bring hat, sun cream, and sun glasses for today’s tour as you will be at outside for a long day Accommodations: Himalayan Lhasa Hotel 3-star or similar
Day 13 Lhasa (B) Highlights: This morning you will visit Drepung Monastery. Afternoon is the visit to Sera Monastery. Drepung Monastery: Which was built in 1416 and is the largest monastery of the Gelug Sect, covers an area of 250,000 square meters. This Gelug sect monastery used to be the largest monastery in the world with totally 10,000 monks. Many precious stup a, sculptures, paitings, Thangka...are displayed in the hundreds of chapels. And the annual Shoton Festival is organized here. Sera Monastery: Which is located in the northern suburb of Lhasa City. The monastery was named Sera which means wild rose in the Tibetan language, because the hill behind it was covered with wild roses in bloom when the monastery was built.
