Ama doblam expedition 6812m

Mount Ama Dablam is viewed from the south of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse with its top at a height of 6,812m from the ocean level. Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport & transfer to hotel Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters). You will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel. A short brief about the expedition follows in the evening or next day morning at hotel. Overnight at hotel

Day 02:  shopping for expedition Your guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning to begin your final praparation  for the expedition   Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 03: Official formalities & Briefing in Ministry of Tourism

Day 04: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m) and trek to Phakding (2652m ,4 hrs) A very early morning wake up and transfer to the domestic airport to board our flight to Lukla. We take off to our destination on a 35 min scenic mountain flight to Lukla. After a cup of tea at local Lodge in Lukla we are treading on the legendary “Everest Highway” which heads downwards through the alpine valley following the “Dudh Kosi” or milk river (named after its milky colour from glacial silt). We reach Phakding after 3hrs walk and end our first day here.

Day 05: Phakdingto Namche Bazaar (5-6 hrs) The next day we will be walking mostly uphill through the alpine valleys. We will be crossing Dudh Kosi River a few times before we reach Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital of the Khumbu region. On a clear day you get views of Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Kusum Kangru, Kwangde and Taweche on the way to Namche.

Day 06: Rest and Acclimatization Acclimatization is important before proceeding to higher altitudes. This is the first acclimatization day in Namche bazaar that everyone should make into their trekking itinerary. You can explore around and relax.

Day 07: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (5-6 hrs) Today the landscape changes dramatically. The trail is more open and wide and it reveals the great depths of the surrounding mountains. We descend to the Dudh Kosi River and stop for lunch at Phunki Tenga. From here we climb steeply through a beautiful rhododendron and birch forest for 2 hours that will take us to Tengboche. We will visit the monastery and watch the monks performing their rituals.

Day 08: Tengboche to Pangboche (2 hrs) The next day we trek through a beautiful rhododendron forest for about an hour and cross the Imja river. Then we follow an open high trail to Upper Pangboche. This village is one of the highest permanent villages in the Khumbu region. We will stop here for lunch and also visit the monastery which is the oldest monastery of the region.

Day 09: Pangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp (3-4 hrs) We begin with a steep descend to the Imja Khola and after crossing the bridge we ascend steeply for about 21/2 to 3 hrs and through open Yak pastures. Before we reach Ama Dablam Base camp we will come across a small lake. Ama Dablam Base camp is one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Khumbu Valley. It is a large grassy meadow with a stream flowing from the middle of the meadow.

Day 10-28: Climbing period

Day29: Ama Dablam Base Camp Clean-up & trek to Namche Bazaar After cleaning up Base camp we trek down to Namche Bazaar. On the way we cross the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river and trek onwards to the Kyanjuma, the junction of the trinity ways to Gokyo Valley, Khumjung village and Namche Bazzar. Great view of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawache and Lhotse as well as some species wildlife such as Pheasants, Himalayan Griffons, Musk deer and wild goat can be found inside the rhododendron forest. In the late afternoon we reach Namche Bazaar for overnight stay.

Day 30: Namche Bazaar to Lukla We descend to Lukla passing through many locations. It is much faster heading down although a little harder on the knees. We cross at least four suspension bridges again and finally we arrive at Lukla where we end our trek of the day. On this day we see many new groups on the trail heading out to Namche. At a teahouse at Lukla we will toast over a beer the incredible trip we just finished and spent some time reflecting over our experiences.

Day 31: Lukla to Kathmandu We pack up early and head for the airstrip to catch a flight back to Kathmandu Upon arrival in Kathmandu the rest of your day is free to do your own things. You could do some last minute shopping and packing, or send a few post cards home or even go down for a stroll to Thamel.

Day 32: Free day in Kathmandu, Farewell Dinner On this pleasant day you may have a full day at leisure either relax at hotel or explore around Thamel. Or, you may do your last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives.

Day 33: Transfer to Airport for your onward destination Our airport representative will come to pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the International Airport according to your departure flight time

Please note that trekking and mountain climbing in everest region the lukla domestic flight is depands on wheather sometime it can be Bad weather in mountain regions can cause domestic flight delays or cancel . In case of delayed or cancel domestic flight client is responsible to bear all additional expenses including fooding and accommodation costs your personal expenses before or after trip. However Adventure 14 peaks will take responsibility all other arrangements as per the schedule and guide and other staffs extra expenses incase of delay or cancel the flight . If you wish to make an alternative arrangements such as Helicopter flight to avoid flight delays, all additional cost would be your(clients) responsibility , Adventure 14 peaks does not accept any responsibility for costs incurred as a result international flight missed but we assistance to make alternative arrangements wherever possible.we recommend always keep some extra time when you trek and climbing in Himalayas and make sure your intnernational flight ticket is flexible date if not possible you have to take risk of it also note that while on the Trip we may have to make sometime changes in the itinerary due to unforeseen reasons like landslide or natural disaster bad wheather or health condition
