Langtang Valley is situated north of Kathmandu between the Himalayan ranges and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks south of the Tibetan border. Langtang Valley Trekking takes us into high alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyanjing Gompa and offers us an opportunity to explore ethnic villages and diverse flora and fauna. In the Langtang valley trek you will find a small settlement of Sherpa people whereas the lower part of the valley such as Dhunche, Bharkhu and Syabru are mainly inhabited by Tamang ethnic group of people there is other trekking route tamang harritage trail trek. Both these ethnic groups of people follow Buddhism and practice their respective culture and tradition. They earn their livelihood herding yak, sheep and producing buckwheat, potatoes, wheat and barley in the fields. Their houses are made of stones and wood protected with flat zinc roof that has lots of stone placed on top to secure them from flying.
According to legend, the Langtang valley was discovered by one Buddhist monk following a runaway yaks. This is how the name-Langtang word is derived, Lang means Yak and tang means to follow. Langtang Valley Trek can be completed in 9 days starts and ends in Kathmandu. We begin the trek from Dhunche heading uphill to Lama Hotel and Langtang village until we arrive at the famous Kyanjing Gompa. Here, you will find Yaks everywhere. The view of Langtang Lirung and its glacier is beautiful. En route you will pass by the cheese factory and the ancient old monastery. From Kyanjing Gompa you can hike early in the morning up to Kyanjing Ri (4773m) and enjoy the view of the Langtang Lirung becoming orange and slowly turn to white.
After exploring the Langtang valley, we retrace the same route to Syabrubesi from where we catch a transport and drive back to Kathmandu. Langtang Valley Trekking is a highly recommended medium- hard trek that can be arranged throughout the year. Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation for the Trek
Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. The day will also be for finalizing official procedure and other necessary arrangements. You will be also briefed on the nature of the trek, equipments and team composition. Some of landmarks we visit include the World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhu Nath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddha Nath).and after complete the the tour we final prapartion for trip

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m 145 km/ 7 hrs
After morning breakfast we drive out along the north-western hills of Kathmandu. Enjoy the Himlayan views and mountainous lifestyle through the terraced fields and rustic villages. Take Lunch at the Trishuli Bazar before continuing further to Dhunche. From Dhunche, we descent down to Syabrubesi. Over night in lodge
Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m 6 hrs
This is our first day of trekking today. Follow the Langtang Khola River. Pass through the dense forests. Cross several suspension bridges. We also pass by a tea houses. The trail goes up and down but it's not that challenging. Over night in lodge
Day 05: Trek to Langtang village (3,430m 6/7 hr
After taking breakfast we embark our second day of the journey. Our trail continues along dense forests. After making a steady climb up through the valley, we leave the tree line behind us. Enjoy the marvelous views of Langtang Lirung. Pass by water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them.over night in lodge
Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m 3-1/2 hr
After taking morning tea and breakfast, we get out of the village and pass on through yak pastures. Also pass the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them. The prayers written on the mani wall is supposed to be blown away by the wind. Cross several of the wooden bridges. Since, we are really getting into the high altitudes, you might start feeling the thin air. Kanjin Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas all around. You can take a walk around Kanjin Gompa enjoying the views, glaciers, icefalls, birds and yaks over night in lodge
Day 07: Visit to Tserko Ri and back to Kyanjin gompa
Early morning we visit to Tserko Ri (5000m for mountain sunrise views.
Day 08 : After breakfast, proceed to Lama Hotel. Since, its mostly downhill, it is 4/ 5 hours walk from Kanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel. The trail goes all the way down hill through forest following the river. Pass through the ethnic Tamang settlements who follow religious and cultural practices similar to the Tibetans. Day 09: Trek back to Syabrubesi: 5 hrs
After breakfast, we trek down to Syabrubensi, about 5 hours walk. Enjoy the easy trail mostly downhill through lush green vegetation. Arriving Syabrubesi, over night in lodge
Day 10: Transfer to Kathmandu
After breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu. Arriving Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. Spend the day leisurely or catch up on some last minute shopping or explore over night in Kathmandu hotel
Day 11: Farewell Friend
We are saying good bye to the mountains as journey in Nepal comes to an end today! . Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from Adventure 14 pesks will take you to the airport. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
